Chanelle Hayes WAG dream hasn’t quite panned out the way she was hoping. She had the footballer boyfriend but things with Matthew Bates came to an end over the Christmas period and now at the tender age of 22 she has not only the heartbreak but a baby on the way too.

Chanelle is three months pregnant and despite the break up with the father she is feeling positive about pending motherhood. Talking to Star magazine this week she said:

'I'm happy now and I'm really excited about it'  'I wasn't ever planning to get pregnant, but I've been learning everything about what to do and just trying to enjoy it.'

But what happened when she told her now ex about the pregnancy?  

'He went silent, but what can you say? It changes your life forever. We both sat in shock, then we just went to bed! We didn't really talk about it and I went home the next day. That was it.'I know it sounds strange but we haven’t talked really. I thought he needed time to think. I’ve kept him informed though, and let him know when I’m having scans.'

Despite the setbacks Chanelle is positive she’ll be a brilliant mum:

'I think I will be a perfect mum! I'm really maternal. It's a side to me people don't know - they just see me at 18 crying in the Diary room, but that was so long ago.'
