Congratulations are in order for former Brookside star Jennifer Elison and her husband Rob Tickle as they welcomed their 9lb baby boy into the world on Thursday evening.

The couple are said to be “delighted” with the arrival of little Bobby Tickle... we’re trying hard not to laugh at the poor little mites name but it just ‘tickles’ us.

But the fact that he’s denied that the reason he got upset during his Sky interview last week was because of Katie Price’s marriage makes us think that perhaps he’s a bit of a liar.

Pete’s hit back at the claims saying:

“I wasn't upset because of the wedding, absolutely not,"

"To me it was the best closure I could have asked for.

"Once she became Mrs Reid it's not my business anymore. I stepped away from the circus a long time ago. Whatever is to do with the kids will be my business."

So why the tears then Pete?

"Watching a video of Dwight Yorke having a go at me on TV, which I was totally not prepared for, triggered off an emotion.

We spotted a non-tearful Pete at Selfridge’s in Manchester over the weekend promoting his new perfume Unconditional and giving some adoring fans a bit of attention.

We weren’t surprised to see John Terry looking so miserable when we spotted him leaving Stanford Bridge, even the beating he gave Arsenal winning 2-0 wasn’t enough to put a smile on the footballers face as he drove away whilst gabbing down the phone to who we assume must have the Samaritans.

After a meeting with England manager Fabio Capello to discuss the allegations that he had an affair with teammate Wayne Bridge’s former lover Vanessa Perroncel the decision was made to drop Terry as the England team captain and now it’s been revealed that the footballer has reportedly paid off at least four secret lovers in a bid to keep his scandals under wrap.

Apparently Mr Terry gave Vanessa Perroncel £750,000 to keep schtum and then instructed his team to approach a string of other girls with a similar offer. A source said:

"This has now all gone much deeper than an affair with a teammate's old girlfriend. It is all about Terry doing everything and anything to save his skin and reputation."

"He is going to astonishing lengths and spending huge sums. But whatever he does he can't prevent the truth from coming out. It is all unravelling."

Lily has developed an anxiety disorder called dysmorphia which means Lily thinks she’s a large as Michelle McManus which is, of course, an insane comparison.

Lily – who lost a stone and a half last year – has told this month’s LOVE magazine that when she looks in a mirror she see’s someone who is as big as mountainous McManus:

"Ask me, 'What do you see when you look in the mirror in the morning?' and I'll be like, 'Someone who is more overweight than I actually am.'

"It's body dysmorphia. I honestly think I look like Michelle McManus or something."

We can tell you you certainly don’t Lily! The singer claims that it stems from taking part in fashion shoots where it’s been suggested to her that she smokes a cigarette for lunch instead of eating actual food:

'I've been on shoots where it's been "Lunchtime! OK, Lily, do you want a cigarette?" instead of eating lunch.’

Because being skinny and cancer ridden is so attractive. Lily you look lovely and not a bit fat, ignore everything else.

Ah Valentines, a period of the year which invokes love, overdramatic gestures and worldwide depression.

Helping to spread the cheer, or rather Valentines fear, was Paris Hilton who we spotted shopping for Valentines supplies in LA, finding heart shaped boxes of chocolates for boyfriend Doug and finding a dog to play with and make us feel nauseous.

Taylor Lautner + a ball + sand = the perfect sight for women’s eyes world over.

The Twilight heartthrob was playing a game of American football in Miami yesterday and from what we could see was doing a pretty good job. Jumps, lunges, tumbles, general athletic proficiency...

And it could be that very same reason why Taylor has been picked to play Stretch Armstrong in an upcoming flick about the superhero. A representative for Universal Pictures commented:

"In the past two years, Taylor has emerged as a real star at the global box office. He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role of an unlikely superhero with a fantastic superpower. We couldn't be more pleased that he has agreed to be our Stretch."

The good news doesn’t end there either folks as the film is apparently going to be recorded in 3D which means it will appear that Taylor’s getting right up into your personal space...
